Everybody's Got Something to Hide Except for Me and My Monk

On a beautiful Saturday, Rose and I went hiking on Mt. Bukhan near Seoul. Bukhansan ("san"means mountain in Korea) is the most visited national park in the world. It's a beautiful mountain and it's so close to Seoul; we took a city bus to the trail head.

After hiking up to the ridge, a monk came up and introduced himself to us. Sorin is a Buddhist monk from Cambodia; he's studying Korean at one of the local temples. Sorin joined us on our hike up to the pike and showed us how to get back down to the mountain. I really enjoyed his company--I hope we can go hiking with him again soon!
